Introduction
We got pg with our daughter after 2 mos of TTC and a 1.5 years of no protection. Our son was a wonderful surprise--we weren't TTC, but weren't protecting against.

Trying-to-Conceive (TTC) experience
In June 2005 we began casually TTC again. Nothing happened. 6 mos in to TTC, DH's Father passed away very suddenly. This loss made us even more intent on a third child. In April 2006, we got a BFP and were very excited. I had my first appt at 8 weeks. We saw the baby with a heartbeat on u/s. The baby was measuring a week behind, which scared me. Neither of my previous 2 pgs had ever measured that far behind so early. My second appt was at 12 weeks, another u/s was performed and the baby had no heartbeat and had died around 8.5 weeks. I had a D&C 2 days later. We have been TTC since the loss...it will be 5 mos soon since our miscarriage. We are still hopeful that God will bless us with a third child.

Charting Experience
I started charting while TTC my first child in August of 2001. I charted on my own on my computer. I also charted as a means of NFP after my DD and DS were born. I have used FF for 15 cycles now, including my miscarriage and after. I feel like a charting expert.

The Internet
I don't know how I would've TTC without the internet. It's been a huge resource. I know more about TTC, miscarriage, fertility issues, pregnancy, and childcare than my Mother (who had 4 children) ever did. It can be both good and bad. Sometimes ignorance is bliss and knowing as much as I do can cause me needless worry. Other times, it has helped prepare me much better than I would've been otherwise.

Other Thoughts?
We will continue TTC a third child until our second child is four years old. If we reach that milestone without another pregnancy, then DH and I have agreed to be thankful for our two beautiful children and end our TTC journey.
